Rail Replacement Tenders

All RR tenders will be placed here. They may be published with hours to spare but theyll usually be published with a few days notice, and will reflect the replacements that occur in real life. Theres no form to fill out however details will be published, and companies have to post what they are willing to be paid for the service, aswell as what the service will be run by and which depot the RR will be run by. Dependent on the amount of notice given, a few days will be given before the results are announced dependent on price, bus, and depot submitted by the company.

Rail Replacement work

Chester - Hooton. All day Sunday 30th October, 6th November, 13th November and until 12:50 on the 20th November.

M&D submitting their request for the above tender.
Run from Chester depot using:

Approx PVR of 5

Payment of £1000 per bus per day

Liver Travel would like to bid for the above tender.

It will run from our Huyton depot using:

5x Dennis Trident Plaxton President H45 27F

We would like to be payed £750 per bus.

LMT Merseyside would like to apply for this tender.

5x Mercedes-Benz Citaro G ran from Green Lane depot. £500 per vehicle per day.

replacements for this sunday are cancelled
contract awarded to M&D due to the close proximaty of chester depot in relation to the replacement, however if another company can make arrangements to operate their replacement from somewhere closer to chester, the 13th and 20th November replacements may be retendered between different companies.

It is fortunate we did not win the bid, due to the fact in the event of a breakdown it would be a long time before a replacement vehicle could arrive.

We will bid for more suitable rail replacement contracts in the future however.
