As independent adjudicator for the Competition Commission in the game (I was asked by K853 MTJ a few weeks ago when another issue was raised), I feel Liver Travels proposal is not viable for the Wirral. The Liver Travel services proposed here are almost exact duplicates of services operated by M&D, and therefore it cannot be operated under this structure. Although I do in this role I have no objection to Liver Travel working on the Wirral, it would be preferable for Liver Travel to alter their operations for this area. It is excesive for a total operation of (for example) 14 buses per hour on the same 2 routes between Birkenhead and Seacombe, operated by two companies. There would not objection to the whole operation proposed if a QBP is established on the routes proposed here.

That would affect other routes by placing the older buses on there, it is not viable.

And Luke, look at it this way, Arrivas 437 is a very profitable route, but that doesn't mean stagecoach register an exact duplicate to make money. Its not as simple as duplicating a route and making money, and one that is long established and been running long before is more likely to succeed than one thats been registered for the sake of it (look at stagecoach on the 79, they admitted defeat to arriva after the whole Arriva/GTL thing, look how GTL finished up...)
Duplicating my services, which is what a few companies now seem to be doing, isnt viable either, not on minor routes. If it was the 10, thats understandable, but it isnt.

I think the best think to do would we all have a discussion off-forum about it, I don't want any arguments, I want a reasonable outcome for all parties concerned.

At least if we all have a chat together about it we can come to a reasonable conclusion. If this is agreeable, please let me know.

It's business, it's competition! In a business, you need to be able to put up with that competition! You try and compete by upping your frequency! If you win fair dos!

I'm not going to duplicate EVERY single route you operate like GTL did to Arriva.

It seems like it, your duplicating routes that dont need to be duplicated (403s for one).
Theres competition thens theres duplication, theres a difference. Duplication on certain routes is understandable and viable, but theres a line to be drawn.
I think well leave this by agreeing with N606, if you want to appeal to decision, contact me off forum and I shall arrange something. Otherwise as ruled by the comp comission, your most recent routes have been rejected apart from the cancellation of the 68
