DfT Funding

I'm not sure where this should be put so i'll just put it here

Liver Travel would like to request for the DfT to fund for 5 MAN E300's for use on our 68 service due to some serious capacity issues on there off-peak. These vehicles with 46 seats would be ideal.

Wrexham Transport would like to know if funding would be available for 4 new double deck vehicles for our route 101 (Wrexham - Chester). We believe that a route competing directly with cars need to show cars users that public transport can be a reliable, modern and exciting experience. We feel that the Dft also believe in these values.

If you could get back to me with what vehicles you would like, and I will get you the funding for them as soon as possible.

Northern Link would like to enquire about DfT funding for 4 Optare Versa V1110 single decks to replace aging Dennis Dart Marshall Capitals for our 3 core Blackpool routes (210, 215 and 218). Our current vehicles are becoming more unreliable (on a number of occasions resulting in step entrance Leyland Olympians to be used)(they are actually quite reliable!)
Is this possible

Would it be possible to ask for 6 vehicles to cover the entirety of the Blackpool core services. The intial 4 were only to replace 4 particularly faulty Darts. If this is possible we would like them all to be B40F fitted with Hanover displays, registrations as follows:

Rules regarding DfT funding

[*] Funding is limited to £3 million, the amount will be decided on a companies credentials, the size of the order and the vehicles' intended use in the fleet.
[*] Funding will only be given to companies who will use the vehicles effectively.
[*] The funding has to be spent on vehicles for a company or route/depot in dire need of investment in new vehicles to replace older or unsuitable vehicles, NOT FOR VEHICLES DIRECTLY FOR EXPANSION!
[*]Vehicles for purchase must be approved for DfT funding then also approved by your local travel organisation (Eg Merseytravel, GMPTE, TfL etc).
[*]The DfT or your local travel operative reserve the right to reject your request for funding
[*]Should you not pay your part of the deal, the vehicles will be repossessed and you must repay the DfT the full amount of funding.

This takes immediate effect and any companies placing any future orders must abide by this criteria.
