Wrexham Transports purchase of 14 MPDs this evening will allow for rapid expansion in the Shropshire area, we have a further 4 B44Fs and 3 Deckers being prepped for use in this area too and new services will commence over the coming weeks.

Swapping of some buses between the Wrexham and Oswestry depot has allowed for more routes to be created in the Wrexham area using 5 02 Plate MPDs, these will also be coming soon.

Shropshire Update

  • Our large fleet of MPDs which were acquired at the last auction will be commencing work with the start of three new routes in the Shrewsbury area;
  • Once all our new Enviro 200s are delivered to the Oswestry depot our oldest buses, the T-Reg Solos will be withdrawn and offered for sale (Companies can express an interest if they wish).

Wrexham Update

  • The last vehicle movements means the oldest vehicles based at the Wrexham depots are the 05 ALX400s, it is likely no new buses will be purchased for here for a while due to this;
  • A network review will soon be underway to ensure both the company and the passengers are getting the best service possible.

With the arrival of our first batch of Enviro 200s, this has freed our oldest Optare Solos for sale and have been sold onto Liver Travel, to be used in the Blackpool area.

The second batch of Enviro 200s will arrive in one weeks’ time, 8th Decembe.

Christmas and New Year Service Announcement

Wrexham Transport and Shropshire Transports service changes over the holiday period are explained below.

  • Friday 23rd December - NORMAL SERVICE
  • Saturday 24th December (Christmas Eve) - NORMAL SERVICE (Until 18:00)
  • Sunday 25th December (Christmas Day) - NO SERVICE
  • Monday 26th December (Boxing Day) - LIMITED SUNDAY SERVICE*
  • Tuesday 27th December - SUNDAY SERVICE
  • Wednesday 28th December - NORMAL SERVICE
  • Thursday 29th December - NORMAL SERVICE
  • Friday 30th December - NORMAL SERVICE
  • Saturday 30th December (New Years Eve) - NORMAL SERVICE (Until 18:00)
  • Sunday 1st January (New Years Day) - LIMITED SUNDAY SERVICE*
  • Monday 2nd January - SUNDAY SERVICE
  • Tuesday 3rd January - NORMAL SERVICE

Our 6 bus fleet of 52 plate ALX400s have been withdrawn for service due to the acquisition of newer vehicles.

LV52 HHX - Will be preserved as it was Wrexham Transport first double deck vehicle
LV52 HHY - Will be converted to a driver trainer
LV52 HHZ - Will also be converted to a driver trainer
LV52 HHB - Will be kept for spares before eventual scrapping

Both LV52 HHK and LV52 HHL are up for sale.
