With Last nights auction being a good one for Lan Trav. With the kind donation of 8 Mercedes benz buses which will be given to the school duties due to age. we will now also be offering the route 16 which will go via carnforth from lancaster to morecambe

Updated fleet list

I have been in a meeting with Morcambe commissioners today with their proposed work they have got for the A589 which would require a complete relay. (completed in stages)the work would be part of their regeneration program. We have been assured that the work would not affect our services in the way that we would have to change our routes but temporary traffic lights will be in place. At the time of writing it is still in the planning stages and we will be attending another meeting to discuss wether or not we can arrange alternate arrangement's.

News 1: To help tie in with the regeneration scheme we are updating all our bus stops which will now contain electronic advertising screens we will be posting costs after every phase. Phase one commences on monday 19th december 2011 with the work taking place over the next five years.

News 2 : Due to high winds and high tides we had to divert our service 16 away from the prom but as the day progressed by around 4:00pm we were able to go back to normal services along the prom.

news 3 : We have also started a new depot in Glasgow with service hopefully starting very soon so watch this space!!

With the week at a end there is not much to report:
News 1 : The first phase starts tomorrow for costs of £8.4 million the prom will be relayed with all stops being updated costing £20,000.

News 2: with some parts of the country being hit by snow we have been quite lucky and only had to suspend one service which was our service 14 mainly due to ice patches around the port and other parts.
