LMT Merseyside and LMT Manchester to benefit from ECWVTA compliant vehicles
LMT have recently placed an order for a further 51 brand new VDL SB200CS (Wright Pulsar 2) vehicles to replace older and non standard vehicles in the fleet at Green Lane, Manchester and Wythenshawe depots. These vehicles will be the first vehicles in the fleet to be delivered as ECWVTA compliant.
Green Lane depot will benefit from 23 brand new vehicles, whilst Manchester get 15 and Wythenshawe get 13. These vehicles will commence delivery in December, with the final vehicle arriving in January 2012. This comes on the back of Gillmoss depot receiving 18 Pulsar 2s.
LMT chairman James Grundy said:
"LMT are very impressed with the Pulsar 2 and what it offers our customers. It is popular with our passengers, drivers and engineering teams. We hope to continue purchasing these vehicles because they're just what we need. They're comfortable, modern and very economical. We're dedicated to providing a top class service to our customers, and this order just goes to show that we're taking it very seriously. When this order arrives, we'll have 103 Pulsar 2s in service across our divisions. I would certainly say we're considering buying more next year."
LMT are due to receive more "StreetLite" midibuses in the near future for Green Lane depot. Green Lane's 23 Pulsars will arrive first, replacing older low floor vehicles which will be scrapped due to their age deeming them unsuitable for re-sale.

Re: tfbg2011002: LMT
Snow problem for LMT!
LMT had very few problems to report due to the weather conditions this evening, with our services largely running to schedule, however extra buses were put into service to cover for the slight delays owing to our drivers being instructed to take extra caution due to the conditions.
Tomorrow, LMT's Green Lane depot will be assisting Liver Travel on their 1 and 2 Huyton circulars, with LMT operating four vehicles on their behalf. All profits will go to Liver Travel.
In other news, Green Lane is soon to receive a fleet of double deck vehicles for services 12/13 and 26/27, displacing articulated vehicles to Manchester. More news on this as it comes.

Accounts for LMT for this week.
Note, I am in the process of moving house and will be busy this week. I am hoping to get some temporary internet sorted out prior to moving so I should still be online, albeit not as much until the internet in my new house gets connected in mid January.
