Press Release - Date set for LMT Eire "first day"
Liverpool Metropolitan Transport (LMT) Ltd are pleased to announce the launch date for services in Ireland as Wednesday 2nd May, 2012. This is to allow all vehicles on order for Irish depots (Dublin and Cork) to be delivered, the order consisting of some 240 vehicles.
68 dual axle Volvo B9TL double double deckers for services around Dublin.
67 triaxle Volvo B9TL double deckers for services around Dublin.
39 MAN A22 single deckers for services around Dublin and Cork.
34 VDL SB200CS single deckers for services around Cork.
24 Wright StreetLite integral midibuses for services around Cork.
18 Volvo B7RLE single deckers for services around Cork.
It is anticipated that further vehicles will be ordered shortly for delivery later in the year.
These order represent a massive investment from LMT Eire, which will have its headquarters based in Cork. All services around Cork have been registered, whilst final adjustments are being made before services in Dublin are announced. The fares for services in Ireland will be the equivalent of the fares within other LMT divisions to the nearest ten cents.
