LMT Summary for 2011

Divisions
LMT North Western is LMT's largest division, operating numerous services on Merseyside and in Manchester.
LMT Ellan Vannin is the smallest division operated by LMT and operates services on the Isle of Man.
LMT Éire is LMTs newest division, set up to operate services in Dublin and around County Cork.

Expansion
LMT has seen significant expansion since commencing operations in August 2011. Large quantities of new and used vehicles have been purchased by the company for use over three divisions, which have all been highly successful.

LMT has purchased many brand new vehicles, with many still on order. All of these vehicles were ordered from Northern Ireland-based builder Wrightbus, who have delivered a number of StreetLite, Pulsar 2, Eclipse 2 and Eclipse Gemini 2 vehicles to LMT.

LMT's order book is currently at 184, with 8 of LMT's 10 depots expected to take delivery of vehicles in the first half of 2012. A summary of the 2012 order and where they are to be allocated will be published shortly.

Capacity Boost for Green Lane

LMT are pleased to announce the arrival of 21 refurbished double deck vehicles at their flagship Green Lane depot, which have replaced 18 articulated vehicles which have been displaced to Dublin for LMT Éire's services.

The DAF DB250LF vehicles have been heavily refurbished, with Lazzerini Pratico seats fitted, as well as completely new interiors, state of the art CCTV systems and complete mechanical overhauls at the company's engineering facility at Carnegie Road. Twelve of these vehicles were already in service with LMT North Western, the other nine vehicles were purchased last month.

The double deckers at Green Lane will be deployed on services 12/13, 15 and 26/27.

As I won't be online later today or tomorrow, here are my accounts for this week. I still won't be on much as I'm on mobile broadband, but I will try and get on to check things at least once a day.

From everybody at LMT, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

LMT agree formal partnership with Liver Travel

LMT are pleased to announce that they have agreed a formal partnership with Liver Travel, which will see the two companies work closely together in Southport and Huyton, providing a quality service to these areas. Routes that will be benefiting from this partnership are:

Huyton
6/7 - Liverpool to Huyton Bus Station
6/7 - Liverpool to Warrington
8/9 - Huyton circulars
10B - Liverpool to Huyton (Elizabeth Road)
10C - Liverpool to Thomas Road

Southport
47/48A - Southport to Liverpool

The new partnership in Huyton, called "Quality Buses for Huyton", will see a large number of modern vehicles purchased for services by LMT and Liver Travel.

LMT chairman James Grundy said:
"I'm really pleased we've come to an agreement with Liver Travel. Huyton has always been an area we've shown interest in and we're pleased to have reached an agreement with another operator in the area and give the population of Huyton a quality bus service in our Quality Buses for Huyton agreement with Liver Travel. I'm really looking forward to seeing this partnership take off not only in Huyton but also in Southport, where the 47/48A is a partnership, I'm hoping that LMT and Liver Travel can continue to build on this excellent partnership."

In other news, LMT's division on the Isle of Man, LMT Ellan Vannin, has signed a partnership with Vannin Link to operate a Heritage Bus service to the Jurby Transport Museum. LMT Ellan Vannin will operate two Leyland Olympian and two Leyland Lynx vehicles on the service.

LMT chairman James Grundy said:
"This is another exciting new partnership LMT have formed with another company. I am really looking forward to this one as it gives LMT a chance to show that we are fully dedicated to the preservation of older vehicles. I was very keen on this venture the moment Vannin Link approached me about it, and I can't wait to see it in action."

I've just been working on it this evening, here it is:

Note, I have now included the depots vehicles are allocated to, as well as ancillary vans. I hope to update my Company Profile once a month if possible.

im afraid your going to have to do something about your Gilmoss allocation, that depot isnt capable of storing all of the 279 buses you have based there, other than that, that appears all present and correct, thanks Smile

I've only got 106 vehicles at Gillmoss K853, I've put a column in to show what depot each vehicle is at.

Here are my Merseyside allocations:

GL (Green Lane): 128
GM (Gillmoss): 106
SK (Skelmersdale): 45

Hope this helps Smile

apologies! Smile i would advise that you perhaps have a limits of around 110 or 120 for your depots as this would reflect real life, and if theres a fire, you wouldnt wanna be shifting 150 odd vehicles Razz

No worries mate. Smile

I've got plans to relocate one or two services at Green Lane to Gillmoss, so that should free up some space there.

Cheers Smile

New buses for the Sheil Road Circulars

LMT are proud to announce that after a week of preparation, such as the fitting of state-of-the-art CCTV systems and programming their displays, a fleet of 18 Volvo B7RLE (Wright Eclipse 2)s are now ready to enter service on the 26/27, replacing a fleet of 15-year-old vehicles which will be redeployed to reinforce services 12/13 at peak times.

These vehicles are the last vehicles for Merseyside in the 2011/12 order. A large number of vehicles are scheduled to arrive at Green Lane again in 2012 to make it the most modern depot in the company and provide a quality service to the areas it serves. The depot has had massive amounts of work carried out so it can hold a significant amount of vehicles.

These vehicles have a capacity of 45 seated passengers with another 30 standing, so they will prove to be very useful on the 26/27 at peak times, and also provide travel in comfort and safety.
