Many vehicles have been acquired this week. They will all be for Huyton depot.

They are:

14x Volvo B7RLE vehicles for routes X20 & X34. These vehicles are heading onto these long distance routes due to their high-backed leather seats. They will displace Wright Pulsar and Scania Omnicity vehicles to operate QBP routes.

5x Dennis Trident vehicles for use on our Open Top Tour of Liverpool.

All of these vehicles will go through a thorough refurbishment at our Blackpool works.

Attached is this weeks accounts.

There have been quite a few changes to our fleet these 24 hours. This is what has happened:

Scania Omnicity's YN03 UVZ, YN03 UWR, YN03 UWS and YN03 UWT have been sent to M&D in exchange for X5 OXF, X6 OXF, X7 OXF and X8 OXF. The Citaro's will be sent to our Blackpool works for a full refurbishment.

The first four Wright Eclipses entered service on service X20 today. These vehicles have had a thorough refurbishment which included:

Leather seats refreshed. The Leather Seats have a Black base, Lime Green outline and a Sky Blue headrest with the company logo embroidered into the Headrests.

Fitment of Laminate Flooring.

Full Mechanical Overhaul.

Repaint into Company livery.

All vehicles left for Wembley about an hour ago, and are currently travelling along the Motorway. Loads were very healthy, with most buses leaving with near full loads! No problems reported as of yet, passengers have been well behaved as have the vehicles!

Liver Travel general update

A few things have happened since the last update.

10 05 plate Alexander Dennis Dart 4 8.8M vehicles are due to be purchased by the company, this will be the start of the re-modernisation of the Blackpool fleet. These vehicles will replace the T-OUX Solo's which will be sold on to other companies, failing that they will be sent to PVS Barnsley.

The final two Wright Eclipse vehicles are due for purchase very soon, six have entered service at Huyton with another six currently in the final stages of refurbishment at our Blackpool works.

The 5 Open Top Dennis Trident vehicles are also nearing completion, and will enter service at Huyton due to a proposed frequency increase on our Liverpool Tour. XAU 705Y will be transferred to Blackpool upon the Trident's entering service.

Vehicles MJ61 KRA and MJ61 KRB made the long trek down to Wembley stadium yesterday. Many passengers who had problems with the Virgin Train services due to a derailment had got an immediate refund and then quickly transferred onto one of the 21 buses heading down to London. Many passengers had to get offloaded onto the M&D Leyland Olympian Tri-Axle's, due to them having enough seats to cope with the sudden extra demand! All of these passengers bought tickets on the bus. Passengers were very well behaved, despite many of them having a fair few Can's of Lager and similar substances. The vehicles eventually got back to Liverpool at around 23:30, due to the game heading to a Penalty Shootout. A big thanks to all operators who took part, without you it would have been impossible!

Liver Travel have won the contract to provide the Security Bus when Liverpool FC do their parade of Liverpool. This duty will be performed by XAU 705Y, it is very likely that the Security Bus will be XAU 705Y's last performed duty as a Huyton depot vehicle.

Attached is this weeks (or should I say last weeks!) Accounts, apologies about the delay, kind of got gripped in Football fever last night!

Due to a shooting on East Prescot Road in the Dovecot area, routes 7, 8, 9, 34 and 65 have been subject to major delays throughout the day.

Vehicles have had to divert via Dinas Lane and Pilch Lane, often taking the vehicles more then 30 minutes to clear the scene.

The road has now re-opened, we can't apologise enough for the delays suffered throughout the day today. Delays should still be expected throughout the rest of the day on the above routes. Normal service will be resumed tomorrow.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused today.

All T reg Solo's have now been withdrawn from service, with T311-5 being sold to Northern Link and T316-20 being sold to Stoke and District. These will be replaced by the newly refurbished Alexander Dennis Dart 8.8M's, which will enter service tomorrow.

Also, routes 10B & 10C will start tomorrow. Route 10B will use 7 Pulsar's, with the 10C using 3 Pulsar's and 2 of the recently refurbished Citaro's.

Also, the up and coming frequency increase on our Liverpool tour will come into affect as of tomorrow. This route will use the newly converted Dennis Trident's, displacing XAU 705Y to Blackpool depot. XAU 705Y will remain at Huyton until it has completed Security Bus duties at Liverpool FC's parade of Liverpool.

Attached is this weeks accounts and our most recent Company Profile.

Liver Travel have recently ordered 2 Volvo B9R Plaxton Panther vehicles. These coaches are the highest spec, with Toilets, Leather Headrests and Air Conditioning fitted. These vehicles are planned to be used on football shuttles, carrying Liverpool FC and Everton FC supporters to away games. When either team are playing in Europe, a special package will be offered in partnership with Thomas Cook which will lead to a transfer to the nearest Airport. When these vehicles aren't on football shuttles, they will be used on route 34 (Liverpool-Manchester).

Liver Travel are due to purchase 7 53 reg MCV Stirling's and 4 04 reg Plaxton Pointer's. These will be used on brand new routes on the Wirral (BRAND new, no copycat routes!)

These will go through the usual thorough refurbishment, which will include:

Removal of Luggage Rack (MCV's only)
Removal of Centre door (MCV's only)
New flooring fitted
Seats refurbished in Liver Travel moquette
All vandalised seatbacks and windows replaced
Repaint into Liver Travel livery
Fitment of Hanover LED's
