Liver Travel's new Southport operation has kicked off with a BANG over these past few days! Passengers have been very impressed with the modern, clean vehicles used on their services! We hope that all of our fleet can be up to the standards of Southport in the not to distant future!

Their are big plans afoot for our operations over the next few weeks! Many vehicles are down for purchase over the next few weeks and these are

10x T reg Optare Solo's from Wrexham Transport for Blackpool.
9x 07 plate Wright Pulsar's from Arriva Wales for Huyton.
3x V reg Dennis Dart's from Northern Link, where they will be allocated is not yet decided.
2x T reg DAF Prestige's from LMT, likely to be allocated to Blackpool.

The Solo's will be used on routes which suit them most, lower earning services.

The Pulsars, due to their modern age, will be used on route 34. Displacing the DAF vehicles used on there to Blackpool. Two DAF Myllenium's will be fitted with luggage racks before entering service in Blackpool, details of that will be announced shortly.

The Dart's have no set allocation as of yet, although it is likely the vehicles will joing similar aged vehicles at Huyton.

The Prestige's will be based at Blackpool.

Today has been a very successful day for our new services in Blackpool! They were very well used throughout the day and provided some very helpful links!

On another note, X211 HHE will transfer to Blackpool very soon. Once CX07 CSZ returns from our works in Blackpool.

Pulsar CX07 CSZ entered service on the 34 today. It was very well liked by both drivers and passengers. It is currently still out and is expected to be booked off at around 20:00. CX07 CTE will enter service tomorrow.

Both X211 HHE and X212 HHE have transferred to Blackpool.

V627, 8 and 34 DVU were today acquired from Northern Link. V628 DVU will have a mechanical once-over before entering service due to it being unreliable for it's previous operator.

Liver Travel's annual Staff Christmas Party will be held on Friday 16th December at the Huyton Suite.

Dart L7 VER (S876 SNB) got stuck in today's snowfall whilst operating Huyton local service 4. This service goes around housing estates and sadly got stuck as it turned a corner. Fitters were quick to attend with van DK61 TKA and President NK51 UCR. We then used the President to pull the Dart out of trouble. It subsequently returned light to our Huyton depot. ALL Huyton local services were suspended as of 14:00, and may not resume tomorrow. Fitters and myself (the MD of Liver Travel) will go on a road test tomorrow morning to see whether it is safe for them to operate. We must apologise for any problems this may cause.

All other services are unaffected.

LMT North Western have very kindly agreed to run our Huyton Circular and Huyton - Stockbridge route tomorrow! This is due to our drivers refusing to run on routes on back roads.

All Liver Travel passes will be valid on these buses but Liver Travel Day-Rider's will NOT be able to be purchased on LMT buses. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
