tfbg2011005: Liver Travel

Yesterday, Liver Travel received their 5 high-spec Wight Gemini's for use on our holiday services. The vehicles will be prepared for service, and will perform their first duty on Friday 10th February. The services will be numbered H1-5.

When Liverpool FC play Cardiff City at Wembley, Liver Travel will be sending two buses down to act as supporters coaches. These will be Volvo B9TL's MJ61 KRA and MJ61 KRB.

Tickets will cost £7.50 Child & £10.00 Adults.

The vehicles will leave Anfield Football Ground at 8AM on Sunday 26th and will travel via the M62, M6 & M1 to London. They will return to Anfield at around 22:30PM.

Help from any other operators would be appreciated. There is a lot of money-making potential here!

So, if you want to get involved post details in this thread which include what vehicles you will be sending down to Wembley, and if you want to use Liver Travel facilities to store your vehicles overnight.

Just an idea, would it not make more sense to send the higher capacity vehicles down first, that way, if all fans are transported in say 12 buses, the rest of the buses won't have to be sent down, hence saving fuel! Would mean the fans will be taken in as few vehicles as possible

That's a good idea actually!

My plan was to send the smaller vehicles first, so any excess passengers could just be loaded onto the larger vehicles!

Personally i think it should matbe be worked so each company gets to run at least 1 bus, that way you can still earn money mate. Up to luke though! :-)

Each company will still get payed for their buses, whether they're needed on the day or not

A quick bit of news:

D367 JJD has been modified from Part Open Top to Full Open Top, so it can be used on Private Hire work.

Liver Travel are upgrading our Ticket Machines to the Parkeon-Wayfarer TGX200.

These will be rolled out across the fleet from this evening, with all vehicles carrying the new Machine's by Monday.

Liver Travel's now Holiday Services, H1-5, started today.

The vehicles didn't depart with full loads, mainly due to the time of year and the fact not many people go on holiday! Loading's were high for this time of the year though! It looks possible that tickets for these services will be a sell-out in the summer!
